It is good that we have good relations with the US ( although our PM and to a lesser extent Minister of Foreign Affairs apparently aren’t greatly liked by the Trump team ) and it certainly underlines the fact that the current US administration sees Poland as a reliable partner.

Nobody is trying to force us to sign “mineral deals” and likely our President won’t be shoved out of the White House unceremoniously like he was a shoe-shiner or something, which as we know is a thing that happened to a President of a neighbour of ours.

Maybe President Nawrocki brings something tangible back from this meeting, but I am not holding my breath.

I fear that there is way too much optimism towards the Trump Presidency in the Polish conservative circles.

Trump is a businessman, he apparently has no problem trading away Ukrainian lands in exchange for a very flimsy “peace” with Russia.

With such people, regardless of how good your relations are or seem to be there is always a chance they will sell you down the river if they see it as beneficial to themselves.

I hope that the US troops stays in Poland in at least same numer they are today’s.

As long Poland is not going to participate in ANY war, i’m good.
