Nebraska volleyball (5-0) held its home opener on Friday night against Wright State (2-2) in the Ameritas Players Challenge. The Huskers swept the Raiders (25-16, 25-16, 25-20), securing their first win in the newly named John Cook Arena.
The first two sets started very similarly to each other, with Nebraska trading blows with Wright State through the first half. However, the Huskers then took control in the second half to win the set with a firm nine-point margin.

The Raiders did put together a strong start to the third set, going up 11-6. But Nebraska quickly snuffed out the lead and regained control, going on a 21-9 run to take the match.
The Huskers tallied 41 kills off 88 attacks for a .330 hitting percentage while earning 37 digs and eight blocks to hold Wright State to 30-of-96 and .073.
Harper Murray hit a team-high 11-of-20 and racked up a team-high nine digs. Murray co-led Nebraska in digs, alongside Bergen Reilly and Laney Choboy. Reilly finished with a team-high 30 set assists and snatched two kills off four attacks. Choboy earned six set assists along with her nine digs.
Freshmen Manaia Ogbechie and Virginia Adriano combined for 15 kills off 26 attacks on the night, both earning season-highs. Ogbechie hit 8-of-12 and tallied a team-high five blocks. Adriano earned 7-of-14 with four blocks.

Nebraska concludes the weekend on Sunday afternoon against California. The first serve is set for 1 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
