Adis Beciragic spoke at the press conference following the EuroBasket Round of 16 game between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland.

“Congratulations to Poland, they played really well. For us, the most important part was the first half, where we played perfectly, but we didn’t build a significant lead. The second thing that was very important was their offensive rebounds, which allowed them to score easily.
The third factor was the injury to John Roberson, which completely changed the atmosphere on offense. Of course, there are a few other minor things, but these are the three main factors that decided the game,” said Adis Beciragic, continuing:
“Everyone has an ego; everyone always wants more. Of course, we would have liked to reach the quarterfinals, but I am satisfied with what we have done.”
🇵🇱 Poland secured a place in the #EuroBasket quarterfinals with a win over 🇧🇦 Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We shot only 55% from the free-throw line, and you simply can’t miss nine free throws. No one has ever out-rebounded us, but today we allowed Poland 17 offensive rebounds, which resulted in 16 points. We played to our capacity and used it fully; I believe the players gave their maximum, but things like missing nine free throws and allowing 17 offensive rebounds cannot happen. In games like this, these things are unacceptable.
There’s one more thing: John Roberson is extremely important for us. When we play good defense, we missed that one shot from him to turn the momentum fully in our favor. Free throws, the opponent’s offensive rebound leading to points, and Roberson’s injury—he was missing in critical moments when the game was on the line. This is our maximum.
I don’t like to lie; I don’t know what comes next.
I’ve said it once before, and I like to repeat it because it doesn’t happen often. We were in a very tough situation during one part of our preparations, where we really hit rock bottom. Only a small number of players can pull themselves out of that.
All that aside, this team managed to regroup both mentally and physically, delivering performances like this—beating Georgia and Greece, even though Italy narrowly slipped away from us.
The only game where we looked bad was against Spain. I want to thank these guys who went from -100 to +100. Only great players can do that. I’d also like to thank them and everyone in the medical staff and coaching staff. They did an excellent job.” said Adis Beciragic.
