The entire cast for the new Street Fighter movie has been officially confirmed. But the way in which each actor has been revealed to be playing each specific character is something a movie studio has never done. At least, not quite like this. On September 4, the director of the new Street Fighter movie, Kitao Sakurai, in collaboration with the movie’s official Instagram account, dropped all the names of the actors in Street Fighter, next to a vintage, pixelated image of the characters.

This announcement isn’t just a nostalgic stunt, though; it also reveals a very detailed approach to making the movie, which would suggest this will be a video game movie like we’ve never seen before.

Street Fighter (2026) cast

Although some cast members, like Jason Momoa and Andrew Schulz, have been in the news, talking about their Street Fighter roles, we now have a full cast list, which includes:

  • Noah Centineo as Ken Masters

  • Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog

  • Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim

  • Olivier Richters as Zangief

  • David Dastmalchian as M. Bison

  • Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma

  • Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki

  • Eric André as Don Sauvage

  • Rayna Vallandingham as Jul

  • Alexander Volkanovski as Joe

Street Fighter (2026) Release Date

The new Street Fighter movie is coming out a bit sooner than expected. The film will hit cinemas worldwide on October 16, 2026, roughly a year from now. It will now come out the same year as the live-action version of Mortal Kombat II, which was supposed to hit theaters this year, but will now be out on May 15, 2026.

Just like the 1990s, 2026 will see Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat at the top of everyone’s minds. And with this kind of marketing for Street Fighter, hopefully, the movie lives up to the nostalgic hype.
