A breach of ethics by a politician?! You mean our current system of popularity contests and the ability to accept bribes/gifts/lobbying/book deals/consultancy work etc. in the highest positions of power doesn’t produce moral candidates?? I’m shocked

  2. Ethics committee: “Boris, you have breached the revolving door and ethics rules.”

    Boris: “So what?”

As long as there are no financial penalties or even a threat of jail time, they don’t care. (And why should they?)

  3. Isn’t this one of those corruption things that gets rigorously investigated in other countries and leads to serious jail time?

The days of high profile politicians being investigated and arrested for their crimes like Silvio Berlusconi feels like such a long time ago…

  4. In response Boris said “ well , … wof, erm. Bof er … immigrants …. Wof, erm… boff … Labour, yes Labour….. erm and, and, and yes, indeed”

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck….

Then according the Britain’s ability to hold these people accountable, it must be a unicorn!

Isn’t this why politicians go into parliament in the first place. Nothing new here and doesn’t matter what party. All the same.

  7. He cashed in with the Saudis, Venezuela and Peter Thiel (who should terrify everyone), so covering corruption right across the political spectrum.

A fine reminder of the George Carlin quote ‘it’s a big club, and you ain’t in it’.

From big oil funding Farage to Labour’s friends of Israel freebies, far too many of our representatives answer to others in return for cash and influence. Farage will do the same, win, cause chaos, then fuck off with briefcases full of cash.

Ending foreign and multinational corporate interests’ control over our politicians should be one of the top priorities in your voting choices.

  8. Badenoch is polling higher than Starmer, Farage is not even getting negative press and he’s worse than Boris.

We’re fucked. I get Labour aren’t doing a stellar job, but the electorate really are, for a lot of the part, thick idiots with short term memories.

  9. Absolute scumbag. You just know he’s going to return to right-wing poltics (either Reform or Tories), and all his old cheerleaders and enablers are going to come out of the woodwork to say what an underrated PM he was and such a great campaigner 😠. Just hoping the British public don’t lap it up again.

I don’t often have a searing hatred of many people, but he’s up there. Such a degenerate, like the rest of his family too. He should be facing consequences; but of course he won’t because the rich don’t have to deal with that like the little people do.

  11. Johnson wanted to be PM to have his name in the history books, that is it. He achieved his goal but a piss-poor Brexit deal and his mishandling of the COVID pandemic means the legacy he hoped for never materialised. Not that he cares though. He has been able to make millions on the after dinner circuit and through connections he forged while PM. In his mind, that makes it all worth it and he has no shame in all this either. He is just an upper class grifter at the end of the day.
