BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – WAFB and Gray Media announced Friday that DIRECTV has reached an agreement to carry the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network (GCSEN), bringing New Orleans Pelicans games to thousands of new households across the Gulf Coast.
The deal means DIRECTV, DIRECTV Stream, and U-Verse subscribers in 14 television markets where GCSEN is available will have access to Pelicans games not airing on national networks

WVUE-TV and Gray Media are thrilled to announce that DIRECTV will now offer the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network (GCSEN), bringing New Orleans Pelicans games to DIRECTV, DIRECTV Stream and U-Verse subscribers within the 14 television markets where GCSEN is available.(FOX 8)
DIRECTV is targeting a Fall 2025 launch for the channel.

Delta Media Corporation of Lafayette and Gray Media’s Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network announced Wednesday (Oct. 16) a partnership to bring free, over-the-air coverage of most New Orleans Pelicans games to Acadiana. Lafayette becomes the 14th market to carry the NBA team’s games on GCSEN.(WVUE-Fox 8)
The Pelicans open the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 22, in Memphis against the Grizzlies. GCSEN will broadcast the pregame show at 6:30 p.m. followed by tipoff at 7 p.m.
