While Alex Borg’s claim that he can win the next general election is nothing but hot air and juvenile babble my belief is that if the Labour government proceeds unabashed with laws and reforms that align and expose it as being in cahoots with the Maltese business cabal, then it is going accelerate its’ downfall. All the PN has to do is align itself with NGOs, and environmentalists to openly challenge the influence and power the Maltese developers and the rest of the Business cabal have traditionally held over the PN and now over the LP. Are they up to it?

Labour is nowadays data-driven. It carefully studies how many votes it wins and loses with every decision it takes.
So the reason why it pushes for such pro developer changes is because it knows that those who oppose development are all talk and little action (most of them will not vote anyway).
