The following are the top stories in Malta’s newspapers on Saturday.

The newspaper also reports how the government initiative to pay drivers €25,000 to give up their licence is set to come into effect within “a matter of weeks”, Transport Minister Chris Bonett said.

The Malta Independent also leads with comments by the Finance Minister during the government’s pre-Budget consultation document, where he states Malta’s economy outpaces the EU.
