Giannis emotional reaction to Greece winning Bronze at EuroBasket 2025

In 2006, Greece was playing against USA (admittedly the best team in the world at the time) in the semifinal and won with a whooping 101-95, against players like Lebron and Anthony. Later, in the final against Spain, lost, and won the silver. But it didn’t matter, they had already won the gold in our hearts, inspiring the next generations.

Nobody in Greece remembers the color of the medal at that time, but remembers how proud that win made us feel for having players that put up such a fight and win it.

Sadly, nobody will care for the color of the medal this time too. But everyone will remember that performance. They could have played better, they should, but they didn’t give it all.
