A letter was sent by Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece (Ref. No. 367/25.06.2025), inviting the Patriarch of Bulgaria to participate in the Second International Scientific Conference commemorating the 100th anniversary of the journal Theologia, entitled: “Its Contribution to Theological Education and the Presence of the Orthodox Church and Theology in the Digital Age.” The Conference will be held in Thessaloniki on 29–30 September 2025.
Following discussion and a vote, the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Bulgaria decided:
The delegation will be led by Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria and Metropolitan of Sofia, who will be accompanied by Metropolitan Seraphim of Nevrokop and Metropolitan Grigoriy of Vratsa.
The delegation will officially represent the Orthodox Church of Bulgaria at the Thessaloniki Conference.
