A new US resolution on North Macedonia, congratulating us on 34 years of independence, has been introduced by US Senators Peter Welch (Democrat of Vermont), Tom Tillis (Republican of North Carolina), Gene Shaheen (Democrat of New Hampshire) and Pete Ricketts (Republican of Nebraska). Welch paid tribute to 30 years of diplomatic relations and friendship between the United States and North Macedonia, reports “Benningtonbanner”.

“The bond of friendship between the United States and the Republic of North Macedonia is vital to the advancement of democratic reform and the rule of law in Eastern Europe. We are grateful for North Macedonia’s continued partnership in our shared goal of global prosperity, peace, cooperation, and friendship. I am proud to introduce this resolution, which honors three decades of friendship between our two countries and congratulates the people of North Macedonia on their 34th anniversary of independence,” said Welch.

He added that he will continue to support Macedonia’s EU membership, as well as strengthen cooperation and coordination between the RMV Army and the Vermont National Guard.

“This cooperation “for more than three decades” has helped build capacities and capabilities to protect “regional security”, emphasized Major General Gregory Knight. /Telegraph/
