It is the last ten days of September, but high temperatures are still favoring Kosovo citizens to spend the weekend at the coast, even for longer vacations.
At the Morin border crossing, there are many Kosovo citizens traveling to Albania. Some have ended their vacations, but there are still those who are returning to the coast.
A citizen told RTSH that “I am coming from Mitrovica and I chose Tirana to rest.”
“I came to rest again in Shëngjin, the weather is favorable,” said another.
“There are 10 of us and we went out for a walk. It’s seaside time and we decided to visit some historical places,” said another citizen who crossed the Morini border crossing.
The border police operates a simplified border crossing procedure for all vehicles with Albanian and Kosovo license plates, a procedure that, except for the tourist season, lasts for a 9-month period.
According to border police data, the number of vehicles that have crossed the border into Albania is around 4,100, with nearly 7,200 citizens. Almost the same number has been registered from Albania into Kosovo.
