I love the graphic and explanation lol what device did you use to capture the stars so well? Great pictures.
That is a fun fact. I use that often being in the northern hemisphere.
Look for the Sky Map app. It’s free and excellent. You point your point up and it identifies everything.
Orion might be one of the most recognizable and interesting major constellations in the northern hemisphere’s fall and winter sky. Look south. It’s hard to miss. Also, the Seven Sisters (Pleiades), which is easy to spot once you know it, is Subaru’s logo.
The brightest thing to the north is Polaris, so it’s not too hard to find.
If you follow the curving angle of the big dipper’s handle, it will point you to the very bright star, Arcturus.
