Mucunski-Spiropali: North Macedonia and Albania aim to further deepen bilateral relations

North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister, Timço Mucunski, has congratulated Elisa Spiropali on being appointed Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, expressing his intentions to further deepen bilateral relations between the two countries, Anadolu reports.
“I look forward to working closely together to further deepen our bilateral relations and expand cooperation for a stronger partnership and a better region for all,” Mucunski wrote on the American company’s social platform X.
Meanwhile, Spiropali thanked her Macedonian counterpart for her “heartfelt congratulations.”
“I look forward to working together to strengthen bilateral and regional cooperation, strongly believing that the future of our citizens lies in the EU,” Spiropali wrote.
Spiropali was appointed to the post of Albania’s top diplomat this week as part of the new cabinet led by Prime Minister Edi Rama. Previously, she served as the country’s speaker of parliament from July 2024 until her appointment to the post of top diplomat.
