MADISON, Wis. — “Hamilton” is taking the stage in the heart of Madison in January, inviting people to purchase their tickets Thursday morning.
The story, which has won a Grammy, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, 11 Tony Awards, and more, recounts the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton as he fights for love, honor, and a legacy. “Hamilton” features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.
Shows are set to take place from Jan. 6 through Jan. 18 at the Overture Center for the Arts.
According to the Overture Center, there will be a maximum purchase of eight tickets per account. Tickets start at $48.90, with a select number of premium seats available from $302.95 for all performances. A lottery for 40 $10 seats will be held for all performances, with details announced closer to the engagement.
People can purchase their tickets starting Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Overture Center’s website, in person at the ticket office, or by calling (608) 258-4141.
