I have a Ebay package (video game cosplay helmet) coming from the US to Poland (Wrocław) via USPS. According to the tracking info, it recently arrived in Warsaw and is now at customs. The problem is that it entered customs right before the weekend, so I assume not much processing happened. Today is Monday, and I’m wondering:
• How many days is it normal for a package to sit in customs in Poland? Is it common for it to stay there a few days, or does that usually mean something is wrong?
• If customs decides to charge me duties or taxes, how do I pay them? I only paid $30 for USPS shipping, and the package didn’t have any specific declaration like “tax prepaid.” Do I pay these fees directly at the post office when I pick up the package, or is there another process?

Normal to stay for a few days.
If there’s tax to be paid you will do so on pickup.
You’ll receive a letter or, if you have provided an email address, an email asking about the price of the items inside and the auction/recipe screen. They’ll then make the customs arrangements. After that, you’ll receive the package and pay the customs fee.
