KFOR has announced that it has placed 114 new signs along the border between Kosovo and Serbia, mainly in mountainous and forested areas.
According to the announcement, the placement of the signs aims to clearly mark the area where KFOR operates and reduce the risk of accidental crossings to the other side of the border.
“KFOR will continue its efforts to promote a safe and secure environment for all people in Kosovo, including through regular patrols in northern Kosovo and near the Administrative Border Line,” the statement said.
It is further emphasized that KFOR operates in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), in fulfilling their respective security roles.
