  1. * The left-wing commentator had his pass to the event revoked on Tuesday on “safeguarding” grounds

    * He accused Labour of “Trumpian behaviour” over the action, which means he is now unable to attend speeches and panel discussions in the secure zone in Liverpool city centre

    * Rivkah Brown, a journalist working for the left-wing publication Novara Media, said she also had her conference pass cancelled.

    * Owen said:
    > Labour has cancelled my Conference Pass. Absolutely pathetic, Trumpian behaviour. They are here suggesting that attempts to question Cabinet members and MPs about Britain facilitating Israel’s genocide is a ‘safeguarding issue’. This is clearly insane. Labour have revoked the conference passes of two left-wing journalists. Meanwhile, GB News have a massive on site studio, fuelled by a constant supply of smiling Labour ministers. Tells you all you need to know

    * A Labour source said Mr Jones’ pass was revoked after the party received complaints relating to his conduct towards other attendees at conference

  2. He’s pretty much abandoned any pretence of being a journalist and is now just a YouTube grifter who slags off Labour to harvest engagement from the crank left.

Labour arent obliged to help him get an audience he can monetise.

I visited the conference yesterday, and saw Owen Jones trying to interview people on a couple of occasions.

He was rude, pushed past people and interrupted other conversations to do his ‘interviews’ for his socials. He didn’t ask people if they agreed to being filmed / interviewed and he didn’t listen to any answers they gave.

His poor manners alone deserved to have his pass revoked.

    He’s not a journalist.

He’s a columnist who has made a huge deal out of convincing people to leave the Labour Party.

Given how much he hates the Labour movement it’s strange that he would want to attend really.

He isn’t part of labour, and like lots of people on the left yells from the sidelines and promotes division instead of attempting to promote unity and bring people on the left, and in the country together. He’s very “if you disagree with me you’re an evil person” which helps no one. It didn’t help labour get elected in 2019.

  7. He’s no more a journalist nowadays than tommy robinson is.

He’s an activist, which is fine, but does not get you into the party conference where you obviously plan to cause a disturbance.

  8. Stopped listening to anything he has to say years ago when he became a grifter rather than adding anything to debate or quality discourse.

He doesnt pop up in my left leaning time line so I actually had forgotten about him.

  9. Labour seem extremely determined to keep the left wing vote away.

I wonder how things will go in 2029 for Labour when the racists vote for proper racist parties and everyone from the left votes green.

Oh fuck this cunt, he always pops up on my YouTube feed and no matter how many times I tell YouTube off by saying don’t recommend this channel he comes back again. Him and Novaro Media— the doom-sayers of the left.

I think the ‘in’ thing at the minute is bashing labour, never giving them credit when it’s due, nor informing your viewers about policies Labour are enacting that would benefit them — as in as a creator you have analytics available to you, so know your viewership demographics and instead of being negative neds, as it appears it must help you sleep at night to spew biased bile at them and make them believe that the only hope for this universe is Jeremy Corbyn, Zara Sultana or HypnoTits Polanski.

I’ve learned that you don’t even need to stay 100% informed all day every day about what the governments up to; because these lot like Owen’s and Pol Joe or Navaro tell you. It’s extra obvious when Labours doing decent stuff because these people pull conspiracies or thought experiments or ‘that’s okay but not how I would have done it even though it’d benefit my life or the life of working class’ straight out their jaxy just to put a black cloud over what is a brief period of sunshine.

Fed up of it to be honest, everyone’s just fucking miserable and it’s so ridiculous and OTT at this moment that it’s verging on satire. The annoyance isn’t even convincing because they’re all trying so hard to make it seem like we’ve got a right wing neocon in charge.

I swear nobody twined this much when conservatives were spaffing our tax money up the wall.

Good. Owen Jones is not for Labour. That was 💯 clear years ago. He is for “your party” or whatever its called

  12. Think we need more info about his apparent conduct that led to complaints.

I’m not exactly a fan of Jones, but if he was just asking difficult questions with a press pass he had a right to be there.

  13. An odious little man. One of those people you just know is a monumental bellend after 30 seconds of him speaking.
