The North Macedonian national team faces two crucial matches in the qualifiers for the “USA-Canada-Mexico 2026” World Cup, reports Telegrafi.

Initially, the red-and-yellows will play away against Belgium in Gent on October 10, while on October 13 in Skopje they will host Kazakhstan, in a key phase of this qualifying cycle.

Coach Blagoja Milevski released the list for this gathering, where there were no major surprises. Lirim Qamili is missing due to injury, while David Babunski and Stefan Ashkovski return to the team.

What stands out is the presence of Albanian footballers, who are the mainstay of the national team. Captain Enis Bardhi (Konyaspor), safe defender Visar Musliu (St. Truiden), left winger Ezgjan Alioski (Lugano), and Shkëndija midfielder Reshat Ramadani, are some of the most prominent Albanian names. Also part of the list are Bojan Ilievski (Struga Trim Lum) and goalkeeper Igor Aleksovski, who plays for Flamurtari Vlorës.

The national team’s training camp is scheduled for October 6 in Skopje. Currently, North Macedonia leads the group with 11 points, one more than Belgium and Wales, but the “Red Devils” have one less game. /Telegraph/
