Pars Today -The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced in a statement that the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty” between Iran and Russia, which was signed by the presidents of the two countries in Moscow on January 16, 2025, became effective as of Thursday, October 2, 2025.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated in a released communiqué: “The conclusion of this treaty reflects the will of the leaders of Iran and Russia to deepen relations and strengthen ties in all areas of mutual interest for the two countries, based on mutual respect, good neighborliness, and the supreme common interests of the two nations.” According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the statement further read: “The Iran-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty is a milestone in the history of bilateral relations and heralds the elevation of the level of friendly relations between the two countries in various fields desired by both sides. This important document, by defining the areas and priorities of cooperation between the two countries, outlines a clear framework for strengthening relations in various diplomatic, economic, commercial, scientific-technological, energy, investment, defense, cultural, and other fields. It provides the necessary groundwork for coordination and synergy to secure mutual interests, as well as for joint efforts to safeguard international peace and security and to confront the increasing threats and challenges against the rule of law at the international level and the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter.”
Hunger strike by detainees from the Sumud Flotilla
The International Committee to Break the Siege of the Gaza Strip also announced that a number of the detainees from the Samoud flotilla have joined an indefinite hunger strike since the moment of their detention. 473 activists from the Samoud flotilla have been transferred to the Ktzi’ot prison of the Zionist regime. Nine ships belonging to the Samoud flotilla continue their voyage towards Gaza to break the siege of the Gaza Strip and are currently 470 miles away from Gaza.

Mossad spy arested in Istanbul

Major explosion and widespread fire at a refinery in the USA
An explosion at the Chevron corporation refinery near Los Angeles in the USA caused a widespread fire. The El Segundo refinery exploded and caught fire on Thursday night local time, with flames visible from several miles away. Firefighting forces are at the scene, and the cause of the explosion and fire has not been determined yet. Authorities have not yet reported any casualties or evacuations in the area, but the fire continues.
