WVUE-TV and the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network (GCSEN) are partnering with Crescent City Sports to air high school sports across the Gulf Coast. Crescent City Sports (CCS) is a New Orleans-area media company, with most of its content creation found on its website, CrescentCitySports.com.
“We’re excited to work with Crescent City Sports to expand our live sports offerings to our viewers across the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network,” says Fox 8 and GCSEN GM Mikel Schaefer. “While GCSEN is the Official Broadcast Partner of the New Orleans Pelicans, Crescent City Sports is a go to place for high school sports and now you will be able to watch some of the best high school athletes in the country all across the Gulf Coast.”
Crescent City Sports was founded in 2017 and the team behind CCS has produced regionally focused sports content online since 2008, covering high school, college and professional sports in the region. The CCS team is in its 15th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet. All written and video content on CCS is always free and does not require a subscription.
“Crescent City Sports is thrilled to partner with GCSEN to expand its reach of broadcasting high school sporting events,” says Ken Trahan, Co-Owner and CEO of Crescent City Sports. “We share a common bond in not only focusing on local and regional content but providing it free of charge to our consumers.”
GCSEN will replay one of New Orleans biggest high school football rivalry games, Holy Cross v. Jesuit, on Oct. 4 at 2pm.
The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network also offers a lineup of exclusive sports and entertainment programming in 14 markets across three states in the Gulf Coast region including the Saints Kick-Off Show, Black & Gold Postgame Show and select NHL Dallas Stars hockey games.
