The mother that reported him in the original case is such a ghoul. The two were practically the same age and the girl was only a month shy of 18, not to mention it wasn’t reported until the girl and mum were back in the UK, but okay let’s assume the mum didn’t know until they got back. Even then, to call up police in another country and report something that’s barely a crime and not even a crime in your own country where both of them were from.
The comments on this post with the implicit message of “he deserved it” are pretty disgusting and yet another sign of why the UK is going to the dogs.
And we all know *why* there is a lack of sympathy given to this literal teenager who had a fling with a girl his own age. Anyone shrugging and/or cheering is gross.

What a strange headline. Given that the article says the ‘girl, 17’ in question was a fellow UK tourist, both are over age of consent in the UK. Makes it sound like he went to Dubai deliberately to pursue an ‘underage’ girl.
