Norwood is an entirely virtual creation owned by Xicoia, a talent studio attached to the AI production company Particle6.
Deadline reported yesterday that several Hollywood talent agents are interested in signing Norwood.
In response to that article, In the Heights star Melissa Barrera wrote on her Instagram Stories: “Hope all actors repped by the agent that does this, drop their a$$. How gross, read the room.”
In a comment on the story on Instagram, Matilda star Mara Wilson asked: “And what about the hundreds of living young women whose faces were composited together to make her? You couldn’t hire any of them?”
Nicholas Alexander Chavez, who played Lyle Menendez in Netflix’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, added: “Not an actress actually nice try.”
Other stars responded with humor, with The White Lotus actor Lukas Gage writing: “She was a nightmare to work with!!!!”

System and its minions won’t spare anyone. The sooner everyone understands this the more chances humanity has. Kooontfaces with money sold their souls, they will happily and without hesitation sell your livelihood and existential merits for sure. It’s not about who gets replaced, it’s about priorities. Consumerist West has prioritised wealth and ruthless competition. Others prioritise some shithead ideological viruses like religion and/or national idea.
What’s the alternative?

If I have to choose between ‘Tilly Norwood’ or Hawk Tuah girl, I’d choose ‘Tilly Norwood’.
Remember when Square Enix tried to push Aki Ross as the first CGI actress ? That went well.
Its to obvious. The creator is an outsider, who doesn’t understand the grind of creative confidence, artisan work, grooming taste and the what the who SAG strike was all about.
Audiences watch content because they can relate to the actors struggle and personality just as mush as the characters they play. So any AI actress or actor is a dum, not to mention extremely cost idea.
Its a good thing, she looks fake.
Didn’t Disney make a movie about this in the early 2000s? I think it was called pixel perfect.
Neuromancer. Not the protest, but the digital stars. It’s funny, how most people think that it won’t take their job (or decrease their earning potential) and also how everyone gets upset when it’s about them but is stoical when it’s about others.
How greedy of these actors not to respect psychopathic assholes seeing them as costs to be cut by the wonders of A.I., honestly.

I only watch something because I support actors doing what the love. Not because pixels.
In 30 years time (If we’re still around) you’ll be able to pick your favourite book. Download it into an AI and tell it to make a movie out of it in the style of a particular Director with you as the lead character and the other characters selected from your favourite Hollywood stars to whichever role you want them to play of the book’s characters.
There will even be slider bars where you can increase or decrease the action, sex, tension, martial arts etc.
My personal preference would be me as James Bond crossed with World War Z fighting off Zombie hordes who all look like Trump and Scarlett Johansson at my side with the sliders maxed out on Kung Fu and explosions with a slight up level on helicopter gunships.
I would definitely watch that.

Pick your own adventure movies will be coming to theatres soon. We can change the endings to films on the fly. Maybe in this audience showing, Andy gets caught escaping Shawshank or Hermione’s polyjuice position stays permanent.

Ohh no. How will the Hollywood execs and producers get young aspiring actresses to “audition” in their hotel room if the actors are digital?
Easiest solution is to just create a shitload of porn with this character. Since it’s not a real person there’s no harm to anyone and it would flood all searches for her and ruin their ability to use her in mainstream projects.
They’ll dismiss her as ‘difficult to work with’ when they realise they can’t have sex with her.
Stop enabling it by calling it an actress. That’s not what it does. It runs code, nothing else.
Aren’t things generated by Ai not copyrightable? Like they might have copyright on the name, but nothing stops actors, or even people, to generate stuff of her like doing cocaine or kicking dogs.
Why would any studio risk such a liability??
