Podgorica police will file criminal charges against two minors who are suspected of physically attacking and slightly injuring a fifteen-year-old from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Police officers of the Podgorica Security Department acted upon a report from the mother of the injured minor, a 15-year-old citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who suffered minor bodily injuries last night in a fight after a verbal argument. Last night, October 4, 2025, at around 9:30 p.m., in Prince’s Park in Podgorica, while he was in the company of a minor friend, a citizen of Montenegro, and two other minor friends, also our citizens, he was attacked by two minors, 15 years old, citizens of Montenegro, one of whom is the brother of the friend in whose company the injured minor was. The injured minor and the sister of one of the two suspects, in whose company the injured minor was, have known each other for a long time,” the Police Directorate announced.

They also say that the physical attack was preceded by a verbal conflict.

“Two suspected minors struck the injured minor several times in the head and body, causing minor injuries. The police identified all the actors and witnesses to the incident. Statements were taken from them for the record, in accordance with the prescribed procedure, in the presence of the parents – guardians. The state prosecutor for minors at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica was notified of the incident, who, after reviewing the case files, stated that the actions of two minors, aged 15, who physically attacked the injured minor, constitute essential elements of the criminal offense of violent behavior. Police officers will file a criminal report with the competent prosecutor against the two suspects, on suspicion of having committed the aforementioned criminal offense,” the statement reads.
