In Denmark, an initiative is underway to create the first Ukrainian defense company, Fire Point, focused on developing the Flamingo rocket. This was reported by Denmark’s Minister of Industry, Business and Finance during a broadcast on the national broadcaster. After Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Danish government introduced a financial mechanism that allows Danish companies to provide guarantees for investments in Ukraine.
“This collaboration is developing, and we are now effectively in the process of creating the first Ukrainian defense company in Denmark, namely Fire Point. And the memorandum of understanding, signed yesterday between Denmark and Ukraine, rests on this, on the experience gained from this, and a call for greater joint investments between Denmark and Ukraine, as well as the possibility of attracting more Ukrainian companies to replenish staff in Denmark”

Indicators of Cooperation and Intentions
Also, Bødskov announced that he arrived in Kyiv together with an official delegation to familiarize themselves with Ukraine’s defense industry and to determine whether Ukrainian companies are interested in joint work. If such prospects arise, Denmark is ready to intensify cooperation.
“The Fire Point matter, of course, is new for Denmark. But the collaboration and the structure we created are advancing relatively smoothly. Of course, there are obstacles. Of course, there are red flags. But they need to be eliminated. And that is exactly what we have done. And, we hope, this will pave the way for more investments, in Ukraine and investments in the future”

It should be noted that on October 7, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with Denmark’s Minister of Industry Morten Bødskov. The parties discussed the implementation of the memorandum signed on October 6, which creates additional opportunities for opening joint defense productions on Danish territory.
It was also announced that Denmark might host a demonstration hub where Ukrainian security solutions will be showcased. Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine is ready to fully support Danish defense companies seeking partners to implement projects in the country.
