Good, and do the same for any preacher of any faith from doing it

A good precedent for any other loud vocalisation of faith.
I’m sure we’ll see a lot of call to prayers intervened with too.

Sounds fair. Can’t say that I’m surprised that he immediately embraced the persecution complex, either.

Its so mad he keeps coming up on my TikTok and now here. I used to buy drugs from him and now he’s a preacher. I mean I suppose it’s good he’s turnt his life around but then again…

I’ve never heard any people from other religions shouting at me on the high street saying I’m going to burn in hell because I don’t share the same views as them. It seems to be exclusive to a certain type of Christian.

>The force has told Surrey Live that the order is “not related to the content being said, but the volume and the nature of its amplification”.
>In the video, Ollie questions the officer, referring to the crowd that had gathered behind them, and asking the officer “do these people look distressed?” and continuing by addressing the crowd saying “the world is going to see the persecution that is happening to Christians in the UK”.
Basically probably set it overly loud on purpose so he can claim he’s being “persecuted”. There’s a huge online market for this kind of content of religious people being a pain and harassing people then claiming they’re being persecuted when pulled up on it, with the footage edited to cut out all the inconvenient parts.

Freedom of Speech does not give you the right to a megaphone.

Around Easter time, I walked past a bunch of them preaching in that exact same spot, just your typical Easter Christian stuff.
Walked back about 30 minutes later to find a different guy screaming down a megaphone that athiests have no morals because they don’t have a divine instruction manual telling how to live.
I don’t really mind the former, but the latter behaviour definitely deserves to be shut down.

If this was the guy there last Saturday, you could hear him half way up the high street. He was drowning out the other preacher on North Street though.

Someone share this on /r/Brighton, this is the same hate monger who spewed his hate outside Churchill Square

Good,. Seen Tiktoks of this guy using a microphone on a train preaching to people who clearly don’t care and just want to go about thier day and h’es up and down screaming about God.
“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others.”

Good, all street preaching should be banned.
Predatory and irritating

good. ban any religious preaching or public sermon. Get that shit out of my ears.

Wish they’d do that in my town. Christian preachers with a massive speaker and microphone are regularly outside my flat. You ask them to turn it down a bit and they get even louder and talk to you like a dick.

We had a preacher visit my town centre the other week, didn’t sound American but was presenting all the classic points these preachers do. A man who clearly enjoyed a bit of heroin was arguing with him about the origin of the universe and evolution etc. I think it was the most intelligent conversation I’ve seen a junkie have (apart from standing next to him and making the dickhead hand motion at him).

Many of the freedoms we enjoy today were won by being more than annoying or upsetting to people.
People will continue to cheer on this ridiculousness though, and won’t see that the same powers that silence people you don’t like also silence those that you support

So if he preached without a megaphone nobody would care but because he is blaring it out and continued he deliberately ended up being banned so he can cry victim. Jesus and his apostles never needed a megaphone to get there message across!

I am all for people practising their religion at home or in their place of worship BUT I cannot stand the ones who stand on the street yelling Christian crap and the ones who knock at your door.
I was brought up with Christianity (Protestant) but around the age of 8 I realised it was nonsense and asked my mum to stop sending me to Sunday school.
On the face of it I think all religion is nonsense (again stressing I don’t think badly of people who believe it) and when you consider all the spam products and services emails we get in our inboxes, leaflets through your door, sales texts and phone calls, this sort of street preaching is AUDIO SPAM !
Nothing more.

Good. People trying to go about their daily business don’t want to be disturbed by a nutter with a megaphone ranting about Jesus or whatever.

Much like Arsenal and VAR, this is the only time you’ll see this implemented… others will be free to do as they please.
