I’m interested to know what people here think, but I really find this is getting ridiculous. We are barely in autumn, and the Christmas shoving is already beginning. I love Christmas time, but this is ruining it for me…

  1. People complain about this every year but presumably they are selling plenty of gifts or decorations already because every year the same rollout happens. I mean, it makes sense, if you think about it.

    This stuff is essentially just sitting in a warehouse all year waiting for Xmas. If they only rolled Santa out on November 20th, there would be no way for these companies/malls to justify having the xmas deco/products because by within a month the window is gone and all that stuff can go back to collecting dust.

    I dunno. It never bothered me, just as I don’t mind seeing easter stuff when there’s still snow outside, or Halloween stuff when it’s still September. It’s not like I care about any other shop that sells things I don’t care for.

    People are so desperate to be upset these days if hallmark Xmas capitalist garbage coming too early ruins the holiday for you

    They have to justify keeping it all in the warehouse so if they could get away with rolling it out in July, they would. It’s like the return to work mandates, they want to justify having the big fancy offices.

  3. Yes absolutely. For decades it was:

    Christmas-> Fasnacht-> Ester-> Summer-> 1.August -> Helloween-> Santa / Christmas.

    Its almost blasphemy too let Helloween forgotten.

  4. According to my photo library, almost one week earlier than usual.

    The Ikea Vinterfint collection is also already available in store.

  5. My local Aldi was already selling Christmas food mid September. It was next to the discounted food for bbq…
