This is very interesting, but can someone explain why there is such a variance of results that doesn’t, at first glance, correlate with the common understanding of the different climates across Europe?

  2. Im sorry but i dont really get this, its well into october and most trees here in Valencia are still green

  3. Those grey regions in Spain are mostly deserts (Murcia, Almería) or are covered by pine trees, which are perennial. But there are decidious trees too.

November is called leaf-fall in Polish but according to this map it’s not a fitting name in any region of Poland(maybe the map is showing when the leafs start falling while the name for October references the trees almost being done with the process?)

  5. This maps shows when the leaves start changing colour, not when ‘peak Autumn’ is. Where I am the leaves start changing at the beginning of September (maybe the tale end of August but I think that’s more because of the hot and dry summers we’ve had). But most trees stay green until October rolls around
