Infantino is decorated with the Medal of Honor by President Vjosa Osmani, FIFA head with great words for Kosovo

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today decorated the President of the International Football Federation – FIFA with the Medal of Honor.

The Italian-Swiss was honored in our country at a ceremony organized in Pristina.

After receiving this medal, the head of FIFA said that for him this is an honor and privilege, while he had great words for Kosovo, its people and the historic president of the FFK, Fadil Vokrri.

“Football unites peoples, unites the country and makes it part of a movement in Europe, and makes girls and boys dream and hope for their future,” Infantino initially said.

“It is a great honor and a great pleasure, a great emotion and a great happiness to be here in my home, in Kosovo. And to accept this great honor, this medal from you, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, my friend, on behalf of a wonderful country like Kosovo,” he added.

“Kosovo today and Pristina today is the capital of the world, isn’t it? Of the world of football… but as we all know, football is the most important thing in the world, so it is the capital of the world,” Infantino continued.

“I would like to dedicate this medal, this honor and gratitude to Fadil Vokrri. And to all the people of Kosovo in Kosovo and abroad,” concluded the head of world football.

Meanwhile, President Osmani said that the game of football has kept the spirits of many children alive since the war in Kosovo in 1999.

“Under your leadership, FIFA has become a family of many nations. This has been of vital importance to Kosovo. You have helped our players carry our flag by competing with pride on international stages,” Osmani said.

The presidency has described Infantino as a “true friend of football” and a “true friend of Kosovo.” /Express newspaper
