This is a dog whistle to Tommy ten names and his far right mates who are currently spreading lies that schools in wales are forcing kids to pray to allah (no, seriously)

Again, he’s not “just asking questions” he’s trying to stir up a race war for his racist followers to rally behind. Do not be fooled this is a valid or sincere concern for children

Hmmm let’s blame a whole profession that’s struggling to retain and recruit. God this man is so hateful, who hurt him?

  3. This vile man … ability of one person to have such destructive impact on our society is astounding. The hatred and insecurity driving him, I can’t imagine

It still strikes me as a sign of how dominate the right wing media has become in the UK in that millions will be on the side of Farage and the Tories instead of teachers, fire fighters and nurses

  5. It’s the same friggin shite they’re spewing over in America and they’re trying to replicate it here.

Look at the mess America’s in, if you vote for the likes of Farage or think Tommy Tenmen have good ideas and are the voice of reason, that’s what we’re heading for.

Trump’s already said he’s removed free speech for fuck sake, these clowns need stuck in a cupboard under the stairs and left.

Yet again just following the right wing in America, never an original idea of his own but just copying whatever riled up the right wingers over there first

  7. How many Marxists do these people think are actually around? Doesn’t the communist party call getting about 2000 votes a good day?

  8. the_excellent_goat on

So disgusting. I wish people could see him for who he is. He doesn’t even try to hide it.

What the hell is he doing in Michigan, and why is he bad mouthing our education system? – Yes it is underfunded, the buildings are falling apart but schools are overwhelmingly staffed by dedicated (but not that well paid) teachers and support staff. Starmer was right, Farage HATES our country

When Farage said he’d give £500 to the lowest FULL TIME earners in exchange for making the UK a tax haven for investors, he excluded a lot of school staff who would qualify but only get paid for a 34 hour week even if they stay over unpaid. Teachers we already know work a lot of unpaid hours

Pensions. The teachers, TA’s, kitchen staff and school maintenance workers will strike because Farage wants their final salary pensions. But I genuinely believe they deserve them

Why are we giving this dried out weasle any more of our time and attention? We are doing exactly what America did with Trump and feeding the trolls. This is ridiculous.

  11. Funny. It’s typically the under-educated who are primed to vote for the sort of nonsense he spouts. He’s trying to create more voters for Reform.

An educated population is the best way to prevent right wing populist nonsense winning votes.

  12. He is predicting that Teachers will all go on strike immediately if he is made PM?

So he is essentially saying that he is quite happily going to completely destroy the already crippled education system of this country.

I don’t honestly see how people, no matter how thick headed they are, cannot connect the dots with this man and regimes that want to weaken our country and tear it apart.

  13. He’ll be scuttling across to DC soon to get the next set of instructions from the GOP. He must nearly be at the end of this latest script of hate for the UK.

  14. For a man who allegedly loves Britain, he seems to hate everyone who lives here outside of him and his mates. So tired of this constant right-wing whining.

Same playbook as the US make an enemy out of intellectuals also another element of fascism.

Yes, it’s time to start highlighting the similarities between these operating models and fascism.

Just chats absolute rubbish and his base mindlessly laps it up, what a waste of space

You can tell he has never worked in a school and doesn’t have kids.

Most of the time in schools we are busy teaching little Johnny to stop picking his nose. Sally to stop telling on everyone if she wants to be able to make friends and Abdul that he still needs Maths to be the next Football star otherwise he won’t know how to manage all his money. 🤦‍♀️

Then dealing with parents where you need to tell them Tom isn’t good at reading and needs extra support at home. But mum and dad don’t care because you don’t need to read in life. Or that Giselle brought a knife into school and obviously this means we have had to report the incident to MASH for a further investigation as it is a huge safeguarding concern. But dad doesn’t see a problem with bringing a knife in school because he just wants to go back to the pub to watch footie.🤦‍♀️

Don’t get me wrong you get some great kids and parents. But all it takes are a few small issues to take up huge amounts of the day and result in a sh*t yon of paperwork.

Often there’s a basis of truth that they layer lies onto but he’s just purely talking shite here. He should be embarrassed

I also quite enjoy his aside that millennials have no critical thinking skills but Gen Z do which I’m sure has nothing to do with the apparent youth reform support on tiktok

“My political opponents can’t think critically. Weirdly though, I’ve noticed that everyone who agrees with me and calls me a legend is deeply intelligent, clever and handsome!”

  19. This guy is payed by americans to turn UK into america 2.0.

Dumbing down kids so they keep voting for idiots and never ask questions.

    > Nigel Farage has claimed teachers would go on strike within weeks of a Reform UK election win, and accused them of “poisoning our kids” by telling them that black children are victims and white children oppressors.

    > The Reform UK leader set out his view on British schools in an event for a private US Christian college in Michigan, claiming the “Marxist left” was “now in control of our education system”.

    > “I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike very quickly after winning the next general election,” he said during a question and answer session at the event last month.

    > “They are poisoning our kids. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black, that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight, that he is an oppressor. They are dividing us, not uniting us. They are feeding this negative culture in.”

This sounds eerily similar to the neo nazi “cultural marxism” conspiracy theory. Portraying teachers and the education system as brainwashing kids with “marxism” to undermine society is pretty blatantly the same crap, just rebranded.

  21. IDoMathsNotMath on

Is this ‘teachers and schools are indoctrinating our kids’ crap from America now coming over here?

Believe me, if we had the power these people seem to think we have, we’d be using it to make kids put their names on their work, or use deodorant, or be more respectful of us and those in their class. I barely have time to get through the curriculum without extra brainwashing lessons.

Screw that grifter. Doing nothing, likely again in usa licking boots of his orange boss…

  23. salamanderwolf on

Farage or Murdoch. Which one has done the most damage to our country? Only one way to find out……

  24. Has he any evidence for his claims? Its a sweeping generalisation. And to then say that the teachers are dividing the nation? Its…well I dont know what to say to be honest. Its just lie, lie and lie. We used to have shame.

  25. HelloW0rldBye on

Wasn’t this a maga political point too?

Jeez they really have no imagination do they

  26. > Nigel Farage has claimed teachers would go on strike within weeks of a Reform UK election win, and accused them of “poisoning our kids” by telling them that black children are victims and white children oppressors.

Oh christ, its the same shit the republicans are doing in America.
