Bosnian analyst and expert on Balkan affairs, Jasmin Mujanović, has declared that the European Union-mediated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia has ended, a situation he considers to have long since ended.

According to him, the final chapter of this dialogue was marked by Belgrade’s paramilitary operation in Banjska in 2023.

“The Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is over – and has been over for a long time. Its last chapter was written by Belgrade’s paramilitary operation in Banjska. Vučić’s reactions to Kosovo’s purchase of Skydagger drones are simply an irritated admission that the security situation on the ground is no longer under his control,” Mujanović wrote in “X”.

He emphasizes that relations between Kosovo and Serbia have entered a new phase of tension, which he describes as an undeclared “cold war.”

“The Serbia-Kosovo issue is now a cold war, in all but name. We should not expect the resumption of meaningful diplomatic dialogue until there is a change of government in Belgrade,” Mujanović wrote.

This statement comes after the news that thousands of Turkish “Skydagger 15” combat drones have arrived in Kosovo, as part of a contract with the Turkish company Baykar, as announced on Wednesday by acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Vucic khas openly criticized this move, calling it a threat to regional stability.

“It is now completely clear that Turkey does not want the stability of the Western Balkans and dreams of restoring the Ottoman Empire again. Serbia is a small country, but we understood the message well,” Vučić wrote. /Telegrafi/
