7,581 people are missing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said Marko Jurisic, Chairman of the Board of the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during his speech at the international conference on “Uniting efforts and enhancing cooperation for addressing the issue of missing persons”, APA reports.
“It is impossible to build a democratic society without solving the problem of missing persons. We are working with international organizations and commissions on this issue,” said Marko Jurisic.
He said that the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a global leader in finding people: “We will do our best to achieve the results we achieved in identifying 2,550 missing persons in other countries as well.”
