‘Over 20%’ – The number of foreign tourists in Kosovo increases significantly

According to the latest data published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), the number of visitors to the Republic of Kosovo during August 2025 has increased significantly compared to the same period of the previous year.
During August 2025, a total of 92,544 visitors visited our country, which represents an increase of 20.3% compared to August 2024, when 76,899 visitors were registered. Also, overnight stays (the number of nights that visitors stayed in hotels or other accommodations) increased by 17.2%.
Domestic visitors totaled 33,059, an increase of 5.3% compared to last year.
Meanwhile, foreign visitors who visited Kosovo in August were 59,485, with a greater increase of 30.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, where Kosovo was visited by 45,499 foreign visitors, which indicates the increasing interest of international tourists in Kosovo, reports Indeksonline.
The most visited region remains Peja with 30,449 visitors, followed by Pristina, with a total of 22,256 visitors, and Prizren with 22,215 visitors. These three municipalities remain the most preferred destinations for both domestic and foreign tourists.
The largest number of foreign visitors are from Germany, Albania, Switzerland and Turkey.
