The Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns renew the greatest rivalry in college football on Saturday in the Cotton Bowl. In one of the best games of the year, the two sides bring to the State Fair of Texas a pair of high-profile quarterbacks and defenses that are among the best in the nation.
Texas is 3-2 on the season and 0-1 in SEC play. Oklahoma is 5-0 and 1-0 in conference play. The two offenses have been middle of the pack in 2025, while the defenses have been fantastic.

The Sooners have an opportunity to establish themselves as a contender with another quality win in the first half of the season. But the pressure is on the Longhorns. Another loss and Texas can pretty much rule out its College Football Playoff hopes.
