Two matches with Slovenia, two losses for Kosovo: Tonight an attempt is made to ‘break the ice’

The Kosovo national team will host Slovenia tonight at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina.
This match is played at 20:45 and belongs to the qualifications for the 2026 World Championship, writes “Gazeta Express”.
However, this is not the first time that ‘fate’ has collided between these two nationalities.
Kosovo and Slovenia were part of a group in the 2020/21 Nations League.
Initially, these two national teams met at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium on October 11, 2020, with Slovenia winning by a narrow margin of 1-0.
Vukcic scored the goal for the guests.

Meanwhile, the second match was played on November 15 of that year in Ljubljana.
Slovenia won 2-1 on aggregate, after Kosovo had taken the lead first through Vedat Muriqi.
The home team scored through Kurtic in the 63rd minute, while Josip Ilicic secured the victory in the final minutes of the match, via penalty.
In addition to tonight’s match, Kosovo and Slovenia will face off again next month, on November 15, as in the 2020 match.
Switzerland and Sweden are also part of Group B of the World Cup qualifiers.
Switzerland is first in the group with six points, while Kosovo is second with three points.
Sweden and Slovenia have one point each, and are ranked third and fourth respectively.
So far, only two matches have been played in this group./Express newspaper/
