The Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) has reacted strongly after the ugly scenes that occurred during the Serbia – Albania match, where chants against Kosovo and provocative messages with the Serbian flag on the map of Kosovo were seen in the stands of the Leskovac stadium.

In the official announcement, the FFK strongly condemns these actions, emphasizing that they contradict the spirit of sportsmanship and the principles of respect promoted by UEFA and FIFA.

“These scenes are unfortunately not new in Serbian stadiums, where incitement to hatred and insulting messages towards neighboring countries continue to be repeated without sufficient punishment. Such actions contradict the values that European football represents.”

The FFK has warned that it will submit an official protest note to UEFA, demanding clear and strict measures against the Football Federation of Serbia for “repeated acts that damage the image of football and violate the fundamental principles of sport.”

At the same time, the Federation congratulated the Albanian National Team for their well-deserved 1:0 victory over Serbia, describing it as “a victory that reflects the character, dedication and strength of Albanian football.”

“The Football Federation of Kosovo will continue to defend with dignity the values of sport, respect and equality between peoples, demanding that every football field in Europe be a place of play and not of hatred,” concludes the FFK’s response./Telegraph/
