It has been a few months since Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona on a loan deal, and although the forward hasn’t set the world alight, the early signs have been rather positive.
After a slow start, the Englishman has been able to establish himself as a trusted option in the first team for Hansi Flick, though he is yet to become a first-team regular.
However, as Barcelona enter a period of consolidation, particularly with poor form and injuries, Rashford’s presence has become vital for the club, and therefore, his consistency would become key.
Rashford’s dig at Manchester United
To that end, Rashford has recently made a statement in which he talks about bringing consistency into his game.
However, the statement can be interpreted as a veiled dig at his former club Manchester United, as the Englishman indirectly blamed the ‘environment’ around him for his lack of consistency.

“I think consistency is what I need to bring into my game. And yeah, I’m looking to do that,” he added.
It is apparent that Rashford is talking about the bad experiences in the recent past, perhaps even about his time at Manchester United, where he hardly made an impact.
Nevertheless, the English international looks in good touch now, with Barcelona impressed by his performances and are even willing to consider signing him permanently at the end of the season.
These are still early days, though and Rashford’s immediate focus will be to make an impact in the upcoming games against Girona, Olympiacos and Real Madrid.
