    1. It’s quite clear who the tories consider their voter base to be. Not so clear who it will be in 20 years time though…

    2. >The state pension will never be taxed under the Conservatives

He can’t promise that. All he can say is *he* won’t do it.

    3. After years of the Conservatives lying to the public on just about everything, countless election promises broken, and some of the worst leadership in living memory you would have to be mad to believe anything they have to say at this point.

“£100 a year”. Nationwide give me that ever year just for being a customer.

The Tories “tax bribery” is hilarious tokenism, isn’t it? Remember the income tax reduction from the budget? That was worth about £33 a month to me.

Who in their right mind is influenced by this sort of nonsense?

    5. In the last election Labour was accused of giving away freebies. The Conservatives sure love to do that.

    6. Sorry if I’m being an idiot here, but how exactly does it make sense to tax a pension? Isn’t the idea basically that you’ve spent your whole working life paying into the system in income tax and now you’re getting something back in your old age? If they do intend to tax it, why don’t they just give you less pension in the first place and not tax it? Seems like overcomplicating it.
