North Macedonia has established
its first National Artificial Intelligence Centre, dubbed
“Vezilka,” which will join the European AI Factories network.

The centre will have direct access to European supercomputers,
enabling researchers, startups, and institutions to develop
cutting-edge AI-based solutions. Stefan Andonovski, Minister for
Digital Transformation, announced that the project will bring
together government, academia, and industry in a common mission
to create a smart and sustainable digital future. The project
will be led by the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering
(FINKI), which has been funded by the European Union through the
Horizon Europe programme and the EuroHPC initiative.
