As part of Donation Package XXVII, the Danish Ministry of Defense said on October 15 that 400 million kroner (approximately $57 million) will go toward education and training equipment for Ukraine’s armed forces.
“It is absolutely crucial that Denmark continues to support Ukraine’s defense struggle with military support at all levels,” said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen. “As part of Donation Package XXVII, Denmark is therefore allocating 1.1 billion kroner (around $157 million) for initiatives that support Ukraine’s defense with everything from maritime equipment to education and training activities for Ukrainian soldiers. The initiatives collectively contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s combat power.”
The package also includes funding for maritime security and tank maintenance, alongside NATO-backed support for fuel and rehabilitation services. In total, the 1.1 billion kroner pledged under this segment is part of a broader 2.7 billion kroner ($386 million) initiative spanning 2025–2028.
On September 26, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced Denmark announced that 1.6 billion kroner from the same package would go toward drones, ammunition, and missiles from Ukrainian manufacturers.
The aid is financed through Denmark’s Ukraine Foundation, which has so far committed approximately 70.3 billion kroner ($10 billion) in military support to Ukraine between 2022 and 2028.
Earlier, it was reported that the Danish government is tightening environmental oversight of vessels anchoring at Skagen Red, a major Nordic anchorage and critical gateway to and from the Baltic Sea.
