So sad.
He was quite open about his struggles at times. However the boxing world can do more. The evidence regarding head impact, CTE and the impact this has on mental health is strong.

RIP Rick. It’s a shame you felt like this was all you had left to do, even after speaking up about your mental health problems.
Poor bloke. Absolutely horrific that people find themselves in a situation where they feel this is the only way out of it.

For any blokes struggling I’d really recommend Andy’s Man Club, they have groups all over meeting Monday nights

It’s mental really as he seemed in a decent place. Wasn’t he returning to boxing? It’s strange to think even if somebody has turned their life around it can still suddenly come and get you. It’s like when your life is bad it doesn’t get you. Maybe it’s because you’ve got it good but still feel so terrible inside.

Sadly had assumed as much. Suicide all too common amongst boxers.

That’s how my brother went. Leaves you asking what more you could have done and the answer is probably nothing. I’m sorry for his family and that he was feeling so much emotional pain.
