If you see “Visual Capitalist” on reddit you can be sure that it will be extremely low quality

  2. This is excluding the BVG, right? There is no way the average retiree is living off of 2250/mo. That is considered below the poverty line.

  3. This is only considering AHV.

In 2022, 1,7 mio pensioners received 44’640 mio CHF. That comes in at about 26’200 CHF.

  4. Most European countries don’t have a second or third pillar and in many EU countries governments distribute in pensions a high replacement rate, just from AVS, which is not the case in Switzerland.

If we look at total income or total expenditure from retirees, I bet Switzerland would rank among the highest, clearly in nominal, but also probably purchase power adjusted.

Well because the system is based on public pension and second pillar, together you get more than enough

  6. it’s crazy people try to defend this saying we get enough here.. a lot of people fall into poverty once they go into pension and it’s a real shame

  7. “Visual Capitalist” can’t grasp 2nd pillar.

Some poor commie will believe it.

This is low effort and inflammatory BS.
