This is truly disgusting and it’s not my first time. I keepn buying soil for my apartment plants from coop and end up with the apartment full of nasty flies. Glue traps and the pills anti Trauermücken helped but where can I buy clean apartment soil without going through this again?

I like the indoor plant soil from Hornbach. But there is never a guarantee that there are no flies in it. It depends on age and how they were stored
This is a risk with any potting soil you buy, unfortunately. You can help avoid this by baking new soil in the oven, which should kill any gnats and their eggs.

I haven‘t bought soil in years without flies. It is really annoying and at this point I think it‘s no accident, but to help selling these yellow traps.
I’ve never had a problem in Landi, but I’ve always had problems with Coop/Jumbo.
for small amounts you can sterilize soil in the oven or microwave, produces quite a smell though
ive had shit soils from coop,migros,landi🤷
always make sure the bags arent lying around outside where they get rained on
also, flies dont have the longest generation time, how sure are you, they came in the soil vs some fly flew by adter you planted?
