Andorra hosted Girona in one of the best games of the Liga Endesa so far, with the play of the season coming from Rafa Luz.

It looked like Girona had a secure win in this match, leading 91-84 with just 31 seconds remaining. However, Andorra refused to give up and remarkably forced overtime.

First, Shannon Evans made two free throws, then Stan Okoye hit a three-pointer off a stolen ball to bring the score to 91-89. Girona had a chance to decide the game with two seconds left, but Otis Livingston was only partially successful from the free-throw line.

Then came the play of the season, orchestrated by Rafa Luz. With one second remaining, the experienced Spaniard received the ball under his basket, immediately took a shot, and nailed a three-pointer to send the game into overtime!

The drama of the game was highlighted by the fact that it went into a second overtime. Once again, the hero was Luz, whose points brought Andorra level with 13 seconds remaining. Girona had a chance to seal the win through Otis Livingston, but he missed, sending the game into a second overtime.

The second overtime offered plenty of excitement as well. This time, Andorra was in control, taking a 113-106 lead, and it seemed like the game was sealed. However, Girona showed their character, going on a 6-0 run to close the gap to 113-112, but Luz scored again for Andorra.

Andorra didn’t want to take any risks and fouled Livingston with six seconds remaining. He made the first free throw, and after missing the second, Nikola Maric grabbed the rebound and had a chance to tie the game — but missed. Pep Busquets grabbed the offensive rebound for Girona, yet he also failed to convert, allowing the home team to celebrate the victory in the end.
