I mean, I recently took my son to the playground to see two parents with their children smoking and passing a joint to each other as if it was perfectly normal. I wouldn’t hold my breath. Enforcement is just not a thing in Malta either through corruption, incompetence or laziness.

I’ll pick a smoker rather than a drunkyard throwing party or being loud. I’ll pick a smoker over someone constantly drilling at 8 am.
Do i do anything about it? If it’s within the law, it’s fine. We are in a society whether bother me or not. Same as weed. It’s legal. Stop being unsufferable.

I would rather have a neighbor who smokes some cannabis every now and then, than a building site next door making noise 12hrs a day and leaving me unable to open any windows or enjoy my balconies for the past 3 years.
I understand that the cannabis smell might be annoying to some, but in reality it won’t give you asthma like an uncovered building site next door can.
If we lived in a perfect country where everything was regulated properly I would be more understanding of people who make such complaints for minor things like cannabis smell coming from their neighbors private property, however it always shocks me how the same persons who have nothing to say about irresponsible, harmful and damaging building practices are so quick to complain about something comparatively minor and harmless.
I do not smoke so it does not effect me either way, however I do find it odd that people would complain that its a casual smoker preventing them from opening their windows while keeping silent about neighboring building sites also preventing them from opening windows whilst filling neighboring homes with dust.

My neighbour cooks curry dishes every day and the fumes come up the tromba into my bedroom. I’m allergic to curry? Do I have a case?
This is bullshit because if your neighbour was chain-smoking cigarettes or cigars which stink worse you would not be able to do anything. If I was your neighbour and you won this case against me I would never stop cooking horrible smelling food.
I’d pick a cannabis smoker over a nicotine smoker any day. Unfortunately one doesn’t exclude because they normally mix it or are also normal smokers
My take away: 73 year old and smoking joints 24/7.
