Finnish engineering giant Wärtsilä is set to deliver a biogas upgrading facility to Danish company Bigadan in Horsens.
The plant will be capable of upgrading 6,000 normal cubic meters of biogas per hour and is scheduled to be connected to the Danish electricity grid in the third quarter of 2026. The project is expected to support Denmark’s green transition.
No order value has been disclosed.
“The integration of biomass and biogas alongside wind and solar power is a crucial element of a holistic energy strategy, and the collaboration between Wärtsilä and Bigadan makes a significant contribution to this strategy,” commented Goran Gajski, Sales Director at Wärtsilä Gas Solutions, Biogas.
