      This marks a pretty wild swing in confidence from the administration. It will be interesting to see how the many people who claim SpaceX is the only way forward for American space travel feel about this.

      And do what?

      SpaceX is progressing pretty slowly relative to what everyone expected but any other option is at least 5 to 10 years behind.

      I’m going to read this as, “The Trump administration wants more bribes and favors from SpaceX in order to keep funneling taxpayer dollars to them in a pointless race to return to the moon in three years.”

      It’s the only interpretation that makes sense.

      “He will reopen contracts”… so… more funding for NASA, right? Because the SpaceX bid was by far the cheapest.

      If they reopened contracts for every government contract that was behind, the US government would explode.

      This is just Boeing and Blue Origin lobbyists talking out of Duffy’s mouth. All the more reason we need Jared in his positions ASAP.

      SpaceX is always late, but also way faster than anyone else.

      If getting to the moon is so important then perhaps NASA should have awarded the lander contract years earlier, not as late as 2021 which has now resulted to these delays. NASA spent over a decade throwing money at SLS and Orion but somehow ignored the lander completely.
