      2) Culturally coherent group? If the original reporter actually pushed her on this point, she’d probably still be stuttering now to try and back up this horseshit view.

      3) It’s taken 48 hours for the printed press to pick up this racist dogwhistle in human form’s comments. That’s how prevalent casual racism is in the media.

      Also, this woman’s ancestors were Holocaust refugees.

      Is she not grateful that her ancestors were settled by the UK, instead of told to “go home” to a fascist regime?

      This is genuinely deplorable. One of the most evil things I’ve heard a British politician propose. This goes far beyond what any other western hardline on immigration governments are doing.

      It also blows up the current UK-EU deal, but I feel like the debate shouldn’t be about practicality but instead about how evil it is.

      I’m all for reducing the numbers of people in the UK, but instead of targetting those she’s after, it would be best to get rid of people like her and other useless individuals who put stupid ideas in the way of actual progress.

      Can I start proposing that Tories and Reform voters be deported yet? They are obviously incompatible with British values, after all. And if they’re not immigrants, we’ll just look through their family tree far back enough until we find some tenuous connections with the Normans or the vikings, and thus invalidate all their generations of Britishness.

      If that logic is good enough for the (brown Muslim) goose, it should be good for the (white “British”) gander, after all.

      Her family grandfathers family were mostly murdered by the Nazis and her grandmothers family fled to the UK to escape the Nazis.

      You can’t rip legal status from people who have their lives invested in this country. The USA has been doing this with the Dreamer status folk and other legally settled country’s people. It’s repugnant.

      Isn’t respecting people’s rights our culture? Liberty, equity, rule of law, religious tolerance etc. We went through a lot to ensure we have rights and the state can’t just take those rights away from us. So idk why so many are keen on making this play to give future governments the ability to strip us of our rights, just to punish immigrants. Seems short-sighted.
