MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Mountain Stage, a live concert that features a variety of music artists, made its way to Morgantown to perform at WVU’s Canady Creative Arts Center. The two hour performance is recorded and broadcasted to NPR stations around the United States.
This weekend’s events featured performances from Shadowlands, Tae & The Neighborly, Damn The Tall Buildings, Erin Mckeown, and Ken Yates. Every show has different artists that perform.
Mountain Stage is no stranger to West Virginia, being headquartered in Charleston and having been to Morgantown multiple times.
Mountain Stage executive producer Adam Harris spoke to 12 News on the outreach the performance has.
“Every Mountain Stage is different but every one of them is recorded for distribution across 270 NPR stations and so we do the same format but its different artists every time. Tonight we have an interesting mixture,” said Harris
He also believes guests who attend the event, find new artists and genres to enjoy.
“No matter what people come to see, they walk away a fan of something new and something they may not have expected to hear,” said Harris
Mountain Stage will return to Morgantown on January 18th to record another performance.
