The uncertainty surrounding North Macedonia’s participation in Eurovision 2026 doesn’t stop. Following a series of council meetings, the contents of which are gradually being revealed, it seems that the country has not entirely ruled out the possibility of taking part in the upcoming Contest.

In detail, at the latest MRT council meeting, on October 10, Bobi Andonov was present, a name mentioned by many fans both inside and outside the country in requests received by the public broadcaster, expressing their wish for him to represent North Macedonia. The singer, coming from North Macedonia and Australia, presented his proposal for Eurovision, stating that he has secured funding from an Australian Authors Association and an International Fund.

Andonov explained that a governing body under the Australian government related to writers and composers has agreed to provide both financial support and media coverage if North Macedonia confirms its participation. He emphasized that he has already secured a sufficient budget to represent the country in a modern and professional way, without requiring the state to spend its own funds.

He also submitted the following documents:

  • Presentations related to Eurovision
  • Details of his personal achievements
  • Reasons why he should be the country’s representative
  • Potential benefits a potential return could bring to North Macedonia
  • Information about the promotional campaign of the entry
  • Details about the team that would work on the song and its production

Although the Council has already expressed its opinion regarding Eurovision 2026, it agreed to provide an official response to Bobi Andonov’s proposal.
